The aim of the visit was to discuss the possibilities of business cooperation. Moreover, guests from the Peoples Republic of China (the PRC) visited the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Today, Perm is one of the Russian cities that is actively developing cooperation with various cities of the Peoples Republic of China (the PRC). This year Perm entrepreneurs have already visited the PRC on business, and now it is Zunyi businessmen who came to our city. Zunyi is located in the Chinese province of Guizhou, with a population of 8.28 million. The city houses large industries such as the Maotai manufacturer of alcoholic beverages, China's largest and the world's second-largest manufacturing base of steel wire ropes, and Chinas largest production of titanium sponge according to ""unique"" technological processes.

The delegation included the Executive President and Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Guizhou Province, the Director for the Economic Development of Chinese Enterprises of Guizhou Province, the Deputy Director-General of the Association Producers of Alcoholic Beverages and representatives of other companies. They all took part in the working meeting held in the Perm administration.

At the meeting  the Head of the Mayor’s Office  Aleksandr Molokovskikh said that relations with the People's Republic of China have always been a priority for our city.

- Today, this cooperation is becoming even more relevant. City and regional authorities find it particularly important to develop economic ties with Chinese cities and regions. I do hope that the visit of your delegation will mark the beginning of fruitful cooperation between Perm and Guizhou Province in the business sphere, - said Aleksandr Molokovskikh at the meeting.

The Head of the City Department of Economics and Industrial Policy Olga Chesnokova spoke about Perm enterprises and businesses.  For instance, she talked about the innovative robotics manufacturer "Promobot". Thanks to this company - a producer of humanoid robots - Perm can deservedly be called the centre of robotics. Moreover,  she said that Perm has about 4.5 thousand commercial enterprises that makes Perm one of the top three cities in terms of the growth of trading platforms.  The guests from the PRC, in turn, expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and noted how Perm had greatly impressed them.

- Zunyi is the second largest city in the province, which is rich in natural resources and has an extensive cultural heritage. Thus, our cities have various points of contact.  We would like to invite representatives of Perm with a return visit to expand our friendship and mutual cooperation, - said Executive President and Secretary General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Guizhou Province.

After attending the meeting in the city administration, representatives of the Peoples Republic of China visited the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is worth noting that the Perm Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the most effective in Russia for establishing foreign economic relations. In this way, it is planned to organise the second business mission to China - to Shanghai - this November. 

It is noteworthy that cooperation with Zunyi  has already begun in several areas. In 2022, a guitar manufacturer from Zunyi became a partner of international classical guitar competitions organized by the Childrens Music School No. 10 Dinamika. At that time, the Perm administration received a proposal from the Zunyi Municipal Peoples Government to establish bilateral cooperation between the two cities. Furthermore, this year, the Mayor of Zunyi Mr Huang Wei sent a video greeting to Perm residents on the 300th anniversary of the City, shown on a big screen in the city esplanade. Zunyi serves as the tea centre of the province, where they grow different types of tea, including green and red. The Zunyi Municipal Peoples Government sent some tea for tasting at the Mayoral Reception, which took place in Perm on the 12th of June.

In addition, bilateral interactions with other cities of the PRC - Qingdao, Changzhou and Hohhot - are dynamically progressing.
